Question

7.
What is the solution to the equation shown below?
2/3x+5=1

2 Answer

  • 9 I pretty sure :) this is the answer bc if yousimplify add 5 to both sides multiply by 3 and divide by2 it is 9
  • [tex] \frac{2}{3} x + 5 = 1[/tex]

    [tex] \frac{2}{3} x = 1 - 5[/tex]

    [tex] \frac{2}{3} x = ( - 4)[/tex]

    [tex]x = ( - 4) \div \frac{2}{3} [/tex]

    [tex]x = ( - 4) \times \frac{3}{2} [/tex]

    [tex]x = \frac{ - 12}{ \: \: \: 2} [/tex]

    [tex]x = ( - 6)[/tex]

    [tex]∴ \frac{2}{3} \times ( - 6) + 5 = 1[/tex]
