Question

how to solve this 3y+1=4y-6

1 Answer

  • So what you have to do first is get all the numbers without variables on one side, and y has to be by itself on the other.
    you can do it like this:
     3y+1=4y-6
    -3y     -3y

     1=y-6
    +6  +6

    y=7

    (you would add 6 b/c there is a minus sign next to it)
