Question

Ricky needs 3 1/4 cups of sugar to make muffins. He already has 2 2/4 cups. How many more cups of sugar does he need? (12-9)

1 Answer

  • As I understood your typing 3 1/4 means [tex]3 \frac{1}{4} [/tex] So,

    [tex]3 \frac{1}{4} -2 \frac{2}{4} = \frac{13}{4} - \frac{10}{4}= \frac{3}{4} [/tex]
