Question

What is the relationship between changes in air pressure and wind speeds? PLEASE HELP! ME IN SCIENCEĀ

2 Answer

  • Air that moves quickly from one pressure gradient to another creates fast, or strong, winds. The speed of wind is also determined by a deflection of wind's straight pattern along the earth's surface, known as theĀ Coriolis effect, as well as friction that causes it to slow down.
  • I believe it's When a high and low-pressure air mass are far apart, Air moves quickly from high to low pressure. If that's not right then it's when a high and a low-pressure air mass are far apart, Air moves quickly from low to high pressure. (I'm in k12)
