Question

14x - 8 = 6x ????
8.5 - 3z = -8 ????
9m + 14 = 2m ????

2 Answer

  • 1. subtract the 6x from both sides, and add 8 on both sides. solve for x by dividing.

    2. Add 3z onto both sides so that it will cancel out on the left side and be positive on the right side. Also, add 8 on both sides so 3z is the only thing on the right side of the equation. solve for z.

    3. Subtract 2m from both sides. Subtract 14 from both sides. SOLVE FOR M :)
  • 14x-8=6x
    8x=8
    x=1

    8.5-3z=-8
    16.5=3z
    z=5.5

    9m+14=2m
    7m=-14
    m=-2. Hope it help!
