How do you find the area of a circle? How do you find the circumference of a circle? What information do you need in order to find the area or circumference of a circle? To determine the number of full rotations your tires complete before you need to switch the front and back tires, will you be working with area or circumference?

2 Answer

  • How do you find the circumference of a circle?

The circumference of a circle can be found by multiplying pi (3.14) by the diameter of the circle.

What information do you need in order to find the area or circumference of a circle?

You need to know the radius of a circle to find the area.

  • To find the area of a circle, the formula is [tex] \pi [/tex]r².
To find the circumference of a circle, 2[tex] \pi [/tex]r

You need the radiusor if it's not mentioned, you divide the diameter by 2 and that's the radius.
