Question

A paperweight in the shape of a rectangular prism is shown:

A right rectangular prism is shown with length 10 cm, width 4 cm, and height 4 cm.

If a cross section of the paperweight is cut diagonal to the base, which shape describes the cross section?

A. Square
B. Triangle
C. Hexagon
D. Parallelogram

2 Answer

  • It is a Parallelogram.

  • since cross sections are 2D (people get them mixed with 3D) it would be D. cause since it is a 2D shape it only has height and width, and if it is in the rectangle it would also be a rectangle cause there just aint enough room for any other shape besides squares (well there could be, im not that advanced yet)
