The base of a right prism is isosceles trapezoid with legs c=d = 5 cm, bases a=8 cm and b=14 cm, and altitude of the trapezoid k=4 cm. The height of the prism h=10 cm. Find:

Lateral Area , Sum of edges , Surface Area, and Volume

  • Lateral area:
    LA = 14 * 10 + 5 * 10 + 5 * 10 + 8 * 10 =
    = 140 + 50 + 50 + 80 = 320 cm²
    Sum of edges:
    2 * ( 14 + 5 + 5 + 8 ) + 4 * 10 = 2 * 32 + 40 = 64 + 40 = 104 cm
    Surface area:
    A = ( 14 + 8 ) / 2 * 4 + 320 =
    = 22 / 2   * 4 + 320 = 11 * 4 + 320 = 44 + 320 = 364 cm²
    Volume:
    V = (14 + 8 ) / 2  * 4 * 10 = 11 * 4 * 10 = 440 cm³
