Mean,mode,median and range
Mean,mode,median and range

2 Answer

  • The mean is the average, in which you divide the sum of all the numbers by how many numbers there are.
    42 + 53 + 18 + 11 + 81 + 50 + 21 + 97 + 41.
    83, 136, 154, 165, 246, 296, 317, 414.
A sum of 414 and a total of 9 numbers.
    414/9 = 46.
    Average : 46.
The mode is the number that appears the most.
    Mode: No mode.
The median is the middle number among a list of numbers from least to greatest.
I will organize a list for you:
    11, 18, 21, 41, 42, 50, 53, 81, 97.
To determine the median quickly, cross out the smallest number and the largest number until you can no longer do so.
    11 and 97, 18 and 81, 21 and 53, 41 and 50.
    Median: 42
The range is the difference of the biggest and smallest number. In other words, subtract the smallest number listed from the largest number listed.
    97-11 = 86.
    Range: 86.
    Hope this helps!
  • okay mean is the number you get by adding all the numbers together and dividing by how many numbers they are there. so if you add all of them together you will get 414. then divide 414 by 9 because they are 9 numbers so your mean = 46.

to find the median you have to put then number in order from list to greater are the other way around it just has to be an order. so when I put it in order my middle/ median= 42.

the mode is the number that repeat. there is no number repeating so there is no mode.

to find the range you have to subtract the lowest number from the high so  97-11= 86. the range is 86
